about

This song is a surrealistic blend of topics. The verses are about my wife, Jane. The chorus is about my best friend, Chris Brinkman who died tragically in 1997. He used to tell me how he would lay in his back and watch satellites glide across the night sky when he was camping in the coastal ranges north of LA. The title of the song, Super Gizi comes from something I saw written on a can of milk powder in Indonesia. I found out later it means "super fortified".

lyrics

Let’s make a scene
‘Cause baby, you’re my queen
You are my favorite time day
New York in May
A Barcelona rain
Nothing’s as moving as you little face

Jet lagged at sea
Like Super Gizi in my tea
Mistress from Bangkok
Fallen beauty of my dreams

After the rain
The comets linger in the sky
Lyin’ on his back
He watched the satellites float by

If life’s just a dream
A melancholy scene
I want to sleep with you forever dear…
